Rookie guard playing well for Lakers

Jordan Farmer has played very well for the Lakers after playing at UCLA. He has played in 18 games and has averaged 18.2 minutes, 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game so far this season. Farmer also has shot well, hitting 48.4% of his shots from the floor.

Farmer has the look of a future starter for the Lakers and he was an outstanding draft pick by the Lakers.

Lakers beat the Spurs 106-99

The Lakers outrebounded the Spurs 42-33 and that helped lead them to a win. Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Lamar Odom was outstanding too with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Luke Walton pitched in with 17 points. Kwame Brown played well with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Smush Parker added 10 points and 3 steals.

The Lakers improved to 14-6 with this win.

No Kobe, no problem as Lakers beat the Hawks 106-95

The Lakers put together a great team effort in this win and they shot a scorching 55.7% from the floor. Luke Walton led the way with a great game. Walton scored 25 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 6 assists. Maurice Evans added 22 points. Jordan Farmer played a good all-around game with 15 points, 4 assists and 3 steals. Kwame Brown played really tough around the basket with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Smush Parker pitched in with 11 points. Lamar Odom only scored 6 points, but he grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out 7 assists.

The Lakers improved to 13-6 on the season with this win.

Lakers stung 105-89 by the Hornets

The Lakers just couldn’t deal with the size of the Hornets in this game. The Hornets out-rebounded the Lakers 49-31 and that led to the beating.

Kobe led the way with 24 points and 4 assists. Lamar Odom played a good game and scored 20 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Luke Walton added 11 points and 4 assists.

The Lakers fell to 12-6 on the season with this loss.

The Lakers race to an early lead and make it stand 101-87 over the Pacers

The Lakers rushed out to a 60-44 lead at the half and made it stand. The Lakers also out-rebounded the Pacers 41-28.

Kobe Bryant only played 22 minutes because he hurt his ankle, but he still scored 21 points and had 3 steals. Kwame Brown had a decent game with 17 points and 4 rebounds. Lamar Odom had a great game with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Luke Walton was very active with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Lakers improved to 12-5 on the season.

Everyone knows that the Lakers are Kobe’s team, but Walton is doing a lot of hustle work without the ball and it’s really helping the team as a whole. Walton is averaging 11.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game so far this season. Walton has been shooting real well so far this season (50.7% from the floor). Walton also has hit 17 of 27 3-pointers (63%). Good teams need players like Walton that have a small ego.

Lakers pop the Clippers again 97-88 on Saturday

The Lakers have been beating up on the Clippers so far this season and did it again on Saturday. The Lakers were shooting the ball real well (50%) and the Clippers had a hard time dealing with them.

Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Lamar Odom was very tough with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Smush Parker was also very active with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Lakers improved their record to 11-5 on the season.

Kobe goes off in 132-102 win over Jazz

The Lakers shot 60% from the floor and out-rebounded the Jazz 43-34, but the real story of the game was Kobe Bryant’s performance last night. Kobe Bryant scored 52 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Kobe scored 30 points in the third quarter alone! He wound up hitting an incredible 19 of 26 shots from the floor. Maurice Evans added 17 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Lamar Odom had his usual solid game off 14 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Luke Walton added 10 points.

The Lakers moved to 10-5 on the season with this win.
