Blogged under Bloglockers, Rookie Report, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 20 April 2007 at 10:38 am

Jordan Farmar did a good job as a reserve point guard as a rookie for the Lakers this season. He played in 72 games and he averaged 15.1 minutes, 4.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. He could be a future starter for the Lakers and it’s cool that he’s from UCLA. It has to be a dream come true for Farmar to be a Laker.

The Los Angeles Lakers need more from Brian Cook

Blogged under Bloglockers, Need to Step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Thursday 12 April 2007 at 11:43 am

Brian Cook has been simply awful in April so far and the Lakers need him to straighten out and help them make the playoffs. In 6 games in April, Cook is averaging 4.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. He also has shot really poorly as he’s only hit 32.3% of his shots from the floor. The Lakers need Cook to get his shooting touch back as he’s an important player when he’s on the court because he helps stretch the defense.

The Los Angeles Lakers suffer another injury

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Thursday 12 April 2007 at 11:37 am

Kwame Brown’s ankle is bothering him and he likely won’t play again until the playoffs, if the Lakers make it. His season has been almost a complete waste as he only has played in 39 games and he averaged 8.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He shot 58.4% from the floor but most of his shots were putbacks or dunks. He has been a huge disappointment for the Lakers this season.
