The Lakers select point guard Javaris Crittenton in the first round
The Lakers felt the need to bring in a point guard to battle Jordan Farmar for the starting job next season and Crittenton is a pretty good one. He stands at 6′5″, 198 pounds and he played at Georgia Tech so he’s battle tested. Crittenton played in 32 games in his freshman season and he averaged 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. He also was a good shooter in college as he hit 45% from the floor, 35.6% from three point range and 78.3% from the free throw line.
