The Lakers have selected center Marc Gasol from Spain in the 2nd round (#48) and he will likely stay in Spain for a couple of seasons. Marc is Pau Gasol’s brother but he’s nowhere near as good as his brother is. Marc Gasol certainly looks the part of an NBA center as he’s 7′1″, 280 pounds. Gasol has played in 126 games and he’s averaged 5.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.6 blocks per game. Gasol hit 61.4% from the floor in Spain but only 63.5% from the free throw line.
