Coby Karl is the only rookie left on the Los Angeles Lakers roster

With the trade of Javaris Crittenton to the Grizzlies, Karl is the lone rookie on the Lakers roster. Karl has played in 14 games (0 starts) this season for the Lakers and he is averaging 3.7 minutes, 1.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. Karl is only shooting 28.6% from the floor but it’s hard for him to get into a rhythm due to lack of playing time. Still, his playing time likely won’t change any time soon as Karl is buried on the depth chart.

The Lakers finally lost a game on Friday Night in Portland as the Blazers shot 52.9% from the floor. Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Luke Walton had a solid game in a rare start as he finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Lamar Odom stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. Pau Gasol pitched in with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The Lakers are now 41-18 on the season.

The Lakers outrebounded the Heat 55-40 on Thursday Night and that was a big reason for the ease of the win. Jordan Farmar led the way for the Lakers with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals off the bench. Kobe Bryant stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, 8 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol each pitched in with 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. The Lakers are now 41-17 on the season.
