The Lakers had just too much firepower for the Clippers even without Pau Gasol (injured) who sat out this game. Kobe Bryant led the way as usual for the Lakers in this game with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Andrum Bynum was outstanding in the middle for the Lakers last night with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists. Lamar Odom got the start with Gasol out of action and he was great with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Ron Artest didn’t have a good debut for the Lakers as he shot 3 for 10 from the floor finishing with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The Lakers weren’t overly impressive last night but they still start the season 1-0.
