The Lakers outrebounded the Pistons 44-32 last night and it was a key to the win. Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers last night with 40 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Andrew Bynum was outstanding again for the Lakers last night with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Shannon Brown only shot 4 of 12 from the floor but he still finished with 12 points and 3 rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench. The Lakers are now 8-3 on the year.

The Los Angeles Lakers lose Luke Walton

The Lakers will be without back up small forward Luke Walton for the next 6 weeks due to a pinched nerve in his back. Walton has played in 9 games (0 starts) for the Lakers so far this season and he is averaging 10.6 minutes, 3.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. The Lakers won’t miss him too much as his injury will just open up more minutes for Shannon Brown who is off to a good start this year.

The Lakers pretty much sucked last night as they only shot 38.1% from the floor and they were outrebounded 60-38 which explains the beating they took. Ron Artest led the way for the Lakers last night with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Andrew Bynum was outstanding around the basket as he finished up with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Kobe Bryant had a horrible night as he shot 5 of 20 from the floor and finished with 18 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. The Lakers are now 7-3 on the year.

Denver Nuggets 105, Los Angeles Lakers 79

The Nuggets sent a big message to the Lakers last night. The Lakers only shot 35.2% from the floor last night in Denver and they were dominated 29-8 in the third quarter which pretty much ended the competitive part of this ball game. Andrew Bynum led the way for the Lakers last night with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Kobe Bryant (19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) and Lamar Odom (14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) both pitched in for the Lakers last night. The Lakers are now 7-2 on the season.

Los Angeles Lakers 121, Phoenix Suns 102

The Lakers shot 57.6% from the floor last night and they also played outstanding defensively holding the Suns to only 36.5% shooting from the floor which were large keys to the win. Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers last night with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Andrew Bynum pitched in with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in a dominating effort last night. Josh Powell had a solid game off the bench for the Lakers last night as he scored 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and he dished out 3 assists in only 20 minutes. The Lakers are now 7-1 on the year.
